The Places I've Seen
(with apologies to Dr. Suess)
The summer prior to my senior year in high school my family moved to the Middle East. Trips to and from Kuwait included touring the United Kingdom, Lebanon, and the Near and Far East. My appetite was whetted for traveling; the seed was sown to travel until the “road ends”. I have been fortunate to combine work, vacations, and visits with friends and family with traveling many roads, even to “nowhere”. For this gallery, I chose the photographs most accessible to me, those I shot digitally. Rather than just present the iconic images one associates with cultures and countries I visited, I included A few surprise photographs my travel offered from countries such as Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States. I end with the fond hope that once I can access my film photography, I can add to the gallery images from Belgium, China, Costa Rica, India, Israel, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and other countries.
