Manipulated Images
The images in this gallery represent an enhancement of original photographic images using software or in-camera settings to alter the representation of the subject. The first set of images I refer to as “Blossoms.” This set of images highlights some distinctive aspects of flowers. An initial photograph becomes a starting place for a process that explores a flower’s colors, shapes, and composition.
A secondary aspect of this gallery is the use of the Illustrator function of my compact digital camera. Illustrator brings a different visual interpretation of the subjects. I believe it enhances their lines and character. Using Illustrator provides a different view of various subjects such abandoned buildings, glass, and landscapes, as well as many others.
